今月から、リメイク『かないずむ』を書き始めました。もともと2008年にダウンロード本として、HP上にリリースしたものです。当時は長文を書くことが苦手で、泣きながら書いていました。完成したあと、ライターの知人、友人に仕事として添削をお願いしました。まずは、クライアントさんだけにリリースしたところ、「誤字脱字があります」と言われました。
This month I started to write a remake of "Kanaism". I originally released it on my website as a downloadable book in 2008. At that time, I was not good at writing long articles, and I even burst into tears occasionally while writing it. After I finished it, I asked my writer acquaintance and friend to correct it as a job. Then I released it to only my clients first and they told me that there were still some typos.
チェックをしてもらったのにどうしてでしょう？ さらに妹に添削を依頼しました。すると、誤字脱字以外の文章力についても、ネガティブフィードバックを食らいました。そこから、リリースするのに8か月かかりました。ところが今度は知らない読者の方から、「内容はいいのに、文章力がもったいない」と、またネガティブフィードバックを受けました。
It had been checked, but why? I also asked my sister to correct it. Then I got negative feedback about my writing skills, not just typos. From there, it took me eight months to release it. But after releasing it I got some more negative feedback from a reader I didn't know, who said that the content was good, but the writing was a poor.
そこから私は、文章力を磨く決意をしたのです。それ以降、二度と『かないずむ』を開きませんでした。私は、エルサのようになっていたのです。
From there I decided to improve my writing skills. I had never opened that book again since then. I was like Elsa from Frozen.
ところが昨年末、放置しておいた『かないずむ』を自分の責任で仕上げるべきだと思い立ち、パンドラの箱は開けられたのです。
But at the end of last year, suddenly I thought I should update "Kanaism", which I had neglected. And so Pandora's Box was opened.
これはひどい！ なんだか笑えました。今は添削もスラスラできます。読者の方から、私の文章についてのご感想をいただきました。以下です。
This is awful I thought. Actually it was quite funny, too. I can correct this easily now. And I also I received some feedback from readers about my writing:
「今の文章は、こちら側の安心感が増されたような気がしました。相手のペースに合わせて話を進めて下さっているような文章だと思いました。『傾聴のような文章』って、こういうことかと感じました。とても読みやすく、今から次号が楽しみになっています」。
“I felt that the latest writing now has an increased sense of security for the reader. And it seems like you were listening to the reader's pace. This is what you mean by "writing like listening". It was very easy to read and I am now looking forward to the next newsletter.”
「2008年版を当時読んでいたときはわからなかったんですが、今読むと若さのエネルギーと、どこか尖った部分も感じられます(笑)読み比べ面白いです。続きも楽しみです」。
“I didn't realize it when I was reading the 2008 edition at the time but reading it now, I can feel the energy of youth and also some edgy parts (lol). I'm looking forward to reading more.”
「堀口さんの言葉は説教臭くなくて、素直に受け取れるのでずっと触れ続けていけます」。
“Your words are not preachy and I can take them easily and keep in touch with them, like a friend.”
ついに、Hitomi Collected Salonに平和が訪れたようです。
Finally, it seems that peace has come to the Hitomi Collected Salon.
■編集後記
「過去は未来のティザー広告である」とは、わかりやすい例で言うと、西野亮廣さんのプペルの絵本はすでに、映画を思わせるようなアングルから絵を描いていた、というようなことですね。
どこかに未来が仕込まれているもんですね～。(笑)
