★Happiness, living in the moment and chain-reactions.

Dear Readers,

Let’s talk about three recent examples of living in the moment!

① My nine-year-old niece

"Hi! Hitomi! Where are you now?"

"I’m at home now."

"Anyway, you gave me "Tom Gates", right? Today I found the "Tom Gates 2" at my school library! I borrowed it! I’m going to the ballet lesson soon so I can’t read it now."

"Wow! That’s amazing! Thank you for telling me such interesting news!"

"Sure! See you!"

My niece sometimes calls me to tell me about her news! I found a book called "Tom Gates" that was the best children''s book in the UK in 2014 and I found the Japanese edition so I gave it to her.

Three years later, I didn''t expect that she would find it at her school library. I guess she wanted to tell me because it connects to me. I remember the phrase of the little prince. "The golden what will make me think of you."

This is an example of acting on an impulse no matter how mundane, it is.

②My friend texted me.

"I will appear in a magic show this weekend, it is fantastic! But it is very last minute so I’ll just ask you.
Please come over if you have time."

"Thank you for letting me know. Guess what! I’m free and I’ll invite other friends!"

"Wow! I’m sooooooo glad! I hope everyone likes it."

I’m chuffed that she told me even though the show takes place soon and she was happy too. After all I will go there with three other people. They are also looking forward to seeing it!

Sometimes "strength in numbers" helps us to act on an impulse.

③At online English lesson

Last year I said that I take singing lessons to my English teacher then she asked me to sing on Skype.
Somehow I sometimes sing something at the end of the lesson these days. Last month I had a sore throat so I couldn''t sing but this month I recoverd so...

"So it''s Show Time! I ask you because you have a good voice. Your voice makes people happy, so why not?"

I haven''t seen people who speaks frankly in Japan so far. I sang "Without you" from Mariah Carey
and then she said "Wow! I heard a vibrato."

Sometimes it''s necessary to overcome a shyness to act on an impluse.

My niece dosen’t hold back when she gets an impulse, so I get some happiness as a chain reaction.
I try to increase the chain reaction when I''m invited by inviting more people!

And sometimes chain reactions go out and come back again.

Happiness explosion.

Making people happy makes me happy too.
Thank you to everybody.
