子供の頃は、必要なスキルや知識が自然と身につくものです。私が社会人になってからは、結果につながるように、会社でビジネススキルや知識を学びました。 しかし、私が店長の仕事についたとき、自分の能力に限界を感じました。未知の世界へ突入してしまったようです。どうやってその壁をどう壊すのか？ ビジネス書をいくつか買いましたが、どこにも答えがありませんでした。
When we were children, we learned the skills and knowledge that we need in our lives in a natural state. Since starting work, I learned business skills and knowledge to get results at work. However, when I became a shop manager, I felt I was at the limit of my ability. I dived into the unknown. How should I go beyond my limits? I bought some books about business but I couldn’t find a clue to help me to solve the issues at all.
結局、一番の答えは、上司の口から聞かされました。「嫌いな人と仲良くなりなさい」と。 私は、お客様との関係も構築できるし、コミュニケーションスキルはあるほうだと思っていたのですが、自分が話しやすい人と話していたにすぎなかったのです。考えてみたら、私のスタッフたちとは、共通点がなく、自分が苦手なことを避けていました。ときどき1匹狼のようにもなりました。宇宙からのお試しを受け入れることにしたのです。
After all, I heard the best clue from my boss. He said, “You should get along with people you don’t like.” I thought I could get along with my customers because I had good communication skills but it was clear that I only had communication skills for people like me. After thinking about it, I and my staff had nothing in common and I had been avoiding what I was weak in. Sometimes I was like a lone wolf. I had to accept my trial from the universe.
そして、スタッフたちと仲良くなるためと、自己成長のために、コーチングを勉強し始めました。それから、自分と違う考えを持っている人と話すのが好きになりました。ご存知のとおり、セールスアップを果たし、私はライフコーチになりました。
And then I started learning coaching skills to get along with my staff and for my personal growth. Then I got interested in talking to people whose ideas differ from mine. As you know I got increased sales and I became a life coach.
どのように未知の世界に入るのかわかりませんでしたが、それはすぐそこにありました。自分の目の前のことにもがいていたら、壁にぶち当たります。それから、限界突破のチャンスを得るのです。選択は自分次第です。あなたが、未知の世界に行くためには、なにをしたらいいでしょうか？
I wasn’t sure how to get into the unknown but it was just around the corner. I was struggling to solve the issues in front of me and I hit a wall. And then I had a chance to push the envelope. The choice was up to me. What should you do to get into the unknown?
