あるYouTubeチャンネルで、先輩コメディアンが後輩コメディアンにアドバイスをしているシーンがあった。
On one YouTube channel, a senior comedian was giving advice to a junior comedian.

N「何かお笑いコンビとしてやり残したことがある気がしているけれど、何をやるんだ？ で思考が止まっているんです。でもなんか、やりたいと思うこの気持ちが、よくわからない。何なのって？」
N: I feel like there's something we've left undone as a comedy duo, but what are we going to do? And I've been thinking about it. But I don't know what it is, this feeling of wanting to do something. What is it?
K「何もないよ、そこには。そこには何もないと思う」
K: There's nothing there, there. I don't think there's anything there.
N「どういうことですか？」
N: What do you mean?
K「何にもないんだもん。多分やったところで、何もない。日々費やして頑張って、頑張ってやって、いつか終わるということだけ。大爆発するのか、小爆発するのか、凪のままで終わるのか？ただそれだけのこと。てなると、自分がやりたいか、やりたくないかだけ。損得考えたら、一歩も進めない、って俺は思うよ」
K: Take things lightly. Treat it like it’s nothing. It's just that you spend every day, you work hard, you do your best, and one day it will end. Will it be a big hit, a small hit, or will it end in calm? It's just that. Then it's just whether you want to do it or not. If you think about profit and loss, you won't take a step forward, I think.

「何のためにそれをやるのか？」という目的が必要な彼は、なんとなくやりたいでは動けなくなっていたのだろう。私も頭の中がビジネスのことでいっぱいだった日々は、彼と同じように考えていたからよくわかる。でもいつからか、自分の内側からの欲求に従うだけと気づいたのだ。やりたいからやる。Just do の境地である。
"What is the purpose of doing it?" The soon-to-be 40-year-old comedian needed to have a purpose, and he was probably stuck in a situation where he just kind of wanted to do something meaningful. I know this because I used to think the same way as he did when my head was full of business. But at some point, I realized that I just had to follow my heart. It's a just-do state of mind.
「新しい世界を作るには何をするか？」がテーマの20分セッションがあった。その方は、ピアノの先生で、クラシック専門の方だ。そこで私は新しい扉を開けるための提案をした。
“What would I do to create a new world?” was the theme of the 20-minute session. The client was a piano teacher and a classical music specialist. So I suggested opening a new world.
「クラシックではないジャンルのメドレーをライブ配信してみたらたらどうか？」と。私の知る限り、クラシックを弾いている人が、別のジャンルに挑戦しているものは、あまり見たことのないものだったので、もしかしたら余計な提案かもしれないと思った。でもここは、なんでも挑戦できる1D1U コミュニティである。するとクライアントさんは、未知の世界にいる自分に出会ってみたくなったようだった。
”Why don't you try a medley of non-classical genres on Zoom?” I suggested. I thought it might be an unusual suggestion, as I’ve hardly ever seen a classical musician trying another genre, as long as I know. But this is a 1D1U community where we can try anything. Then the client seemed to want to meet her new self.
未知の世界の扉が開かれたが、やはり葛藤があったようだ。
Into the unknown was opened, but there seemed to be a conflict as well.
（以下、クライアントさんのコメント）人前で、いわゆるクラシック曲を演奏するのとはまた違った緊張感を味わいました。今までと違う感じの演奏企画をやってみたいと思いつつ、もっと準備してやろうかと数日悩みました。やると決めたものの、テーマと入れる曲、曲順を決めなど、準備しはじめのうちは、自分の中に上手くやりたい、とか下手な演奏したくないというエゴのような気持ちが出てきて、少し苦しさを味わったのですが。その後、演奏についてのことだけ考え始めたら、面白くなってきて。内側が開けたような変化を体感しました。もっと演奏に楽しさを出したかったなぁと思うところもあるので、それはまた、次への課題ということにします。
Her comments are as follows.
“I experienced a different kind of tension when performing classical pieces in front of an audience. I wanted to try a different kind of performance but worried for a few days about whether I should do more preparation. I decided to do it, but in the beginning, I had a bit of a hard time deciding on the theme, the order of the songs, etc., because I had an ego-like feeling inside me that I wanted to do well and didn't want to play badly. However, after that, when I started thinking only about the performance, it became more interesting and I experienced a change that opened up my inner world. There are parts where I wish I could have brought more fun into my playing, so that's something I'll have to work on next time.”
「それやってどうするの？」「意味あるんですか？」というエゴの声に従うのでなく、心の声に従おう。そこには何もない。やりたいなら、やろう。
"What are you going to do with it?" Does it make sense?" Instead of following the voice of the ego, follow the voice of your heart. There is nothing there. That's all there is. If you want to do It, let’s do it.
