Dear, Readers

What questions come to you?

This newsletter is about asking questions, let’s start with this masterpiece.

Last newsletter I started writing about what Hikaru Utada said in her interview. So at the end I wrote one word of her lyrics to pay homage to her.

Did you notice that? The word is “Hertz.” She sings “Secret hertz” from “HEART STATION.”
And I drew a heart-shape with Robert. If you can understand deeply, you will enjoy solving wordplays hidden in the newsletter more than just reading the story.
Last week my nieces stayed at my house and my six year-old niece drew some paintings that were very colorful.

After saying goodbye, I took a close look at the paintings and I imagined her process of drawing.
Drawing many Roberts means that she pays homage to me. Drawing sheep means a sheep magnet on my fridge.

A drug store and a high building mean that I guess first she drew the building she saw from my window and then many Roberts, and she thought if Robert could fly, he would need a drug for flying. At last she drew the drug store. While imagining so, I felt happy.

Ten years ago when I went to a museum with my sister, I got frustrated with her because she stayed in front of a picture for some time. So I tried to ask how she saw the picture. When I knew the reason,
I noticed that I tended to think and judge things superficially.

“I was thinking what time did Monet draw this? Why did he paint a pink color on this part? Like that”, she said.

The painting was named “Haystacks.”

If you only see haystacks as haystacks, then all you see is brown, to make your life colorful one needs to ask questions.
