How to slow time down later in life.

Dear, Readers

I wrote the following in a previous newsletter; As the book “Momo” says “Just as people have eyes to see light with and ears to hear sounds with, so they have hearts for the appreciation of time.” In other words, if we touch our heart, time will be engraved in our heart.

Today let’s think about the appreciation of time and how to grow old but how to slow time down later in life.

Many of us feel that time passes more quickly as we age because our denominator becomes bigger as we age. But I’m talking on a totally different level. We sometimes perceive time as moving faster or feel that time elapsed slowly.

For example, Person A was taking a train and he did’t have anything to do so he killed time and then he felt time passed quickly but he couldn’t remember what he did because he didn’t focus on what he did. There was no substance in that time.

On the other hand, Person B was taking a train and he was concentrating on doing something that he wanted to do so he felt time flew by because he was having fun and he would remember that activity later on.

The point is that our experience of time varies with whatever we are doing and how we feel about what we are doing. I’d say living in the present means we can also slow time down.

We should focus on what we can do in one minute. A singer song writer Pico Taro uploaded only a one minute movie on YouTube to the world. As you know it was a blockbuster.

Life begins at focusing on only one minute. Let’s get the rhythm and get the time! To slow time down leads you to keep your youth.
