At the spur of the moment I decided to rocket to L.A.
今年はロケットの絵ばかりを描いています。
突然、L.A.へロケット発射することにしました。
毎年海外旅行へ行くのですが、今年は何も思いつかないでいました。だからと言って、探していませんでした。井上陽水さん曰く、「探すのをやめた時、見つかる事もよくある話で」と言いますからね。ただ、理想としては、なにかのコンサートを観に行くために海外旅行をしたいと、人に話していました。でももう9月だし、今年はほとんど諦めていました。
I travel abroad once a year but nothing’s come to my mind yet this year. Just because I haven’t been looking for somewhere. Yousui Inoue once said, “When you've stopped searching there's always what you've been looking for.” Ideally, I would like to go to see some kind of concert overseas and I sometimes say that to people around me, but it's already September so I almost gave up this year.
ここ最近、クライアントさんや知人から海外旅行の話を聞いていました。プロバンス、ボリビア、ポルトガルのマデイラ島、ギリシャへ、パリ…。「いいな～！羨ましい！」と、私は3日間の間に5回言ったのです。
Recently, I heard from my clients and friend about traveling abroad. One client went to Provence, another four people are going to Bolivia, Madeira Island in Portugal, Santorini in Greece and Paris. So I said, “No way! I’m jealous!”five times within three days.
先週の土曜日、クライアントさんとうちのスタジオで5時間歌いました。私たちは歌えば歌うほどエネルギーに満ち溢れました。
Last Saturday, I sang for five hours with my clients at the studio in my building. The more we sang, the more full of energy and excitement we were.
その日の夜、タロン・エジャトンのインタビュー動画を観ていました。映画『ロケットマン』にかなりハマり、ボイトレで『Your song』を練習しています。 そして、何が起きたかと言うと、これを見つけたのです！“ A one-night-only event, Rocketman: Live In Concert, is coming to the Greek Theatre on October 17, and during the event, John and Egerton will take the stage.” 超びっくりしました！！！ どうしてそこに辿り着いたか思い出せないのですが！ 私の潜在意識が導いてくれたようです。チケットは、2日前に発売されたばかり！ そして、チケット販売サイトを開くと、リセールで買えそうでした。
That night, I watched Taron Egerton’s interview on YouTube. Since I watched Rocketman, I’m really into it and I practice singing “Your song” in my singing lessons. And guess what! I found this! “A one-night-only event, Rocketman: Live In Concert, is coming to the Greek Theatre on October 17, and during the event, John and Egerton will take the stage.” I was flabbergasted. I couldn’t remember how to find the information. I think my subconscious took me to the place. And the tickets had gone on sale two days before. I accessed the online shop and we could buy it via resale.
私は急すぎて行けるかどうかわからないけれど、L.A.在住のクライアントさんに知らせなくては！ と思いました。そして、次の朝、クライアントさんは旦那さんの分までチケットを買えたとメールが来ました。
I didn’t know how to go there but I thought I should tell my client who lives in L.A. about it. And the next morning she emailed me saying she bought two tickets with her husband.
とりあえず、私もチケットを買おうと思いました。リセールできますし。しかし、最後の画面で購入できません。何度試しても無理で、クライアントさんにお願いすると、やはり手古摺っていたようですが、ついに別のサイトで購入できたとメールが来ました。
Anyway, I tried to buy a ticket because I can resell it. But I failed to buy it at the final moment. I tried many times so I asked my client and she also struggled with buying one but she finally bought one at another online store.
そんなにいろいろしてもらったら、もう行くしかないですね。決心がついてすぐに航空券を手配しました。情報を見つけてから、たった12時間の出来事でした。
I got her to buy one for me so I just have to go! I decided to go to L.A. and I booked a flight. It was just 12 hours since I found the information.
8月にロケットマンを2回観て、タロンの素晴らしい歌声に感動し、タロンは俳優だけど、いつかコンサートを開いてくれないかな～と思ったのです。思考は現実化しました。私は、ロケットウーマンになりました！（笑）
In August I watched the movie “Rocketman” twice and the beautiful singing voices of Taron impressed me. And I thought “Though Taron is an actor, I hope he will give his concert someday.” My thoughts become reality. I’m becoming a Rocketwoman !
最近、ロケットの絵が私の身の回りに増えていたんです。そして、『ロケットマン』を観るために映画館の座席に座ったとき、私はL.A.行きのロケットの座席に座っていたということになります。なぜ、宇宙は私をL.A.に送り込むのでしょうか？ それを発見するのが楽しみです！
It seems like I have been surrounded by rockets recently. And when I sat in that cinema to watch Rocketman. I was really sitting in a rocket seat, destination L.A.! Why is the universe sending me to L.A.? I’m looking forward to finding out!
