"What day is it?" asked Pooh.
"It's today," squeaked Piglet.
"My favorite day," said Pooh.
いつもどおりに8時30分頃起床し、瞑想。9時半からオンラインカランレッスンです。普段よりも4倍速で話す言葉をシャドーイングしていくもので、朝から心地よいお口のエクササイズとなりました。
I woke up at about 8.30 am as usual, meditated, and had an online Callan lesson at 9.30 am. It was a pleasant exercise of my mouth in the morning, shadowing words spoken four times faster than usual.
13時、毎週木曜日のチャイニーズランチを買いに出かけると、いつもの車が居ません。オーナーになにかあったのでしょうか？ 仕方なく別のところでランチを買いました。
At 1 pm, when I went out to buy my weekly Thursday Chinese lunch, but the owner's car was not there. I wondered if something had happened to her. I had no choice but to buy my lunch elsewhere.
14時15分からヨガへ。いつもの時間に家を出ました。受付で人数確認のための、数字が書いてあるカードを取ると、いつもなら一桁の数字なのに、なぜか「12」。今日はなんだかいつもと違います。なぜだろう？
I went to yoga at 2.15 pm. I left my house at the usual time. At the reception desk, I took a card with a number on it to confirm the number of people in the class, which is usually a single-digit number, but for some reason, "12" today, it was different. I wonder why.
ロッカールームへ行くと、いつもよりロッカーの空きが僅かだったので、おかしいなと思いながらも、別の場所のロッカーに着替えを入れ、ヨガスタジオへ。
When I went to the locker room, there were fewer lockers available than usual, which I thought was strange, so I put my clothes in a locker elsewhere and went to the yoga studio.
すると、いつもの時間にもかかわらず、人がいっぱいいて、いつもの私の特等席のあたりに、知らない人がマットを敷いていました。仕方なくその1メーター左にマットを敷きました。
Then, even though it was the usual time, there were a lot of people and a stranger was laying a mat on my usual spot. I had no choice but to lay my mat a meter to the left of the usual one.
ヨガの先生が「今月もう1回、祝日があるんでしょ」と、常連の私に向かって話しかけてきました。私は、「あ、そうなんですね」と答えました。天皇誕生日でしたね。
My yoga teacher spoke to me, a regular student, and said, " We have another public holiday this month, don't we? " I replied, "Oh, yes, I see. It's the Emperor's birthday, I thought.
さらに生徒が入ってきました。「あら、久しぶりですね」という声も聞こえてきました。「今日は祝日だから混むと思って、早く来たのよね」と、常連の方が言いました。
More students entered the studio than usual. Someone said to the yoga instructor, "Oh, it's been a long time. One of the regulars said, "I came early because I thought it would be crowded today, being a public holiday.
「え？！今日って、祝日だったんですか？！」と私は言いました。
昼からのすべての謎がつながって、先生と常連の方と爆笑です。(笑)
“What? It's a public holiday today? ", I said.
All the mysteries from lunchtime connected at that moment in my mind, and the teacher and the regulars were laughing.
どおりで、私の特等席も別の人が陣取るし、ロッカーも混んでいるし、12番というカードも、ランチワゴンが来なかったことも、すべて腑に落ちました。
My special seat was occupied by someone else, the locker room was crowded, the number 12 card, and the fact that the lunch wagon had not arrived suddenly all made sense.
夕方17時半からは、2回目のカランレッスンを受け、18時半に2回目のジムへ、いつもどおりに行きました。世間が祝日でもいつも通りです。
At 5.30 pm I had my second Callan lesson and at 6.30 pm I went to the gym for the second time, as usual. It's the same as always, even if the public is on holiday.
そもそも私は曜日の感覚がありません。事実からのサインはたくさんあっても、休日だとは気づかなかったのです。それこそがONE DAY ONE UNITの匠。私は今を生きているのです。
I don't have a sense of the days of the week, to begin with. Even though there were so many signs from facts, but I didn't realize it was a holiday. That really is the specialist of ONE DAY ONE UNIT, I'm so living in the present.
